REACHING ALL NATIONS ACROSS THE EARTH UNTIL HE COMES
The Alaska World Missions department focuses first on the needs of people both home, and abroad. The local church mission department is active in supplying the immediate needs of the church. We then reach out to surrounding areas, and those that are abroad.
It is the Christian endeavor of the Missions department to spread the gospel to everyone that is willing to receive Christ. Often times the physical needs are so detrimental that those needs must be met first, and then the people will become interested in having their spiritual needs met. It may be very hard to give attention to the need of salvation when the stomach is in pain from hunger, the baby has no milk, your feet are cold and your fingers frost bitten.
It is the ultimate desire and determination of the Alaska state Missions department to fulfill both the natural and spiritual need, our focus is the total man. Sometimes this is done by training, and sometimes by making the individual aware of the available resources in the city. It may also be deemed necessary to transport or encourage and mentor different individuals, according to their personal and resources, and emotional stability.
Often times we partner with other organizations that have been established, and through a cooperative effort of partnership we are able to advance the kingdom. Initiatives such as Broken Sparrow, The Texas Initiative, and the Indian initiative. Partnering with another organization may often strengthen and unify our fellowship with other organizations, while accomplishing and meeting the needs of a destitute population, and edifying God.
Matt.5:16 says , Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in Heaven
